Yes, the arts are important. They are one of the cornerstones of civilization and yes, we need your help.

Even in a good economy, artists have a difficult time "making it," In a bad economy we suffer. Unless we happen to be part-time artists with full-time jobs.

Quite a few of us do that too. Unfortunately, that also takes a serious bite out of creative energy and production time. Creativity is a weird and mysterious process and it doesn't always happen when we want it to. We have to work at it.
